Medi-Physics, Inc., a subsidiary of Hoffman-LaRoche, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, was experiencing great difficulty finding a location for their nuclear research and testing facility. The suburban communities they contracted did not want them because they used radioactive materials in their manufacturing process of nuclear medical products.
After consulting with them and learning about their specialized procedures, I introduced their executive and technical personnel to several qualified general contractors. Utilizing the team approach, we formulated a plan that proved successful in convincing municipal officials to accept their use.
I then conducted an extensive site search and negotiated a build-to-suit transaction for a 30,000 sq. ft. highly specialized office, research and laboratory facility. The municipality and the company are very pleased with the results and enjoy an excellent working relationship with each other. |
